GARDEN CENTER

 

CASHIER:

  • Garden Center Cashier positions available. Applicant must be self-motivated, energetic and passionate about working with people and plants. Applicants must be familiar with working in a retail environment and have excellent customer service skills. Duties include ringing out sales, answering phones, plant watering & maintenance, restocking, tagging and merchandising. Both full and part-time positions available.

DRIVER:

  • Garden Center Driver position available. Looking for a self-driven, motivated and hard-working individual to make all bulk and plant deliveries for garden center. Position also includes picking up orders, participating on planting crew for larger jobs and assisting in garden center when needed. Applicant should be in good physical condition and be able to lift fifty pounds. Must have valid driver’s license. CDL is a plus, but not required for this position.

FOREMAN:

  • Garden Center Planting Crew Foreman position available. Looking for a hard-working, motivated and self-driven individual to lead a landscape crew as a working foreman. Applicant should be familiar with all facets of the landscaping industry and be able to read and understand basic landscape prints, supervise and carry out detailed instructions and organize a crew and jobsite. Duties will include supervising a crew on daily tasks, working with the crew as a working foreman on jobs, working with designers and management to produce outstanding customer service and project results, running equipment, filling out daily job reports and time tracking, problem solving, and multitasking. Applicant should be in good physical condition and be able to lift fifty pounds. A working knowledge of trees and shrubs, perennials and annuals is preferred, but not required.

GENERAL SALES ASSOCIATE:

  • Garden Center Retail Sales Associate positions available. Looking for passionate, motivated and self-driven individuals that have customer service skills, a working knowledge of annuals, tropicals, perennials, trees and shrubs. Applicants must have a flexible schedule and be available to work weekends. Duties will include working with customers, stocking, tagging, plant maintenance and merchandising. Both full and part-time positions available. Experience is a plus but not required.

GROWING ASSOCIATE:

  • Garden Center Growing Associate position available. Looking for passionate, motivated and self-driven individuals to work in growing greenhouses. Applicants must have a flexible schedule and be available to work weekends. Duties will include plant watering and maintenance, planting new plugs, stocking, tagging and some customer service. Both full and part-time positions available. A working knowledge of annuals and perennials is preferred, but not required.

LABORER:

  • Garden Center Planting Crew Laborer positions available. Looking for hard-working, motivated and self-driven individuals to work on a landscape crew and in garden center. Applicant should be in good physical condition and be able to lift fifty pounds. Duties will include carrying out detailed instructions to produce outstanding customer service and project results, planting, installing hardscapes and running equipment. Position may also involve working in garden center: unloading deliveries, loading customer vehicles, stocking, tagging, plant maintenance and running equipment. Applicant should be in good physical condition and be able to lift fifty pounds. A working knowledge of trees and shrubs, perennials and annuals is preferred, but not required.

RETAIL GREENHOUSE ASSOCIATE:

  • Garden Center Retail Greenhouse Assistant full and part-time positions available. Applicant must be self-motivated, energetic and passionate about working with people and plants. A working knowledge of annuals, perennials, and tropicals is preferred. Applicants must be familiar with working in a retail environment and have excellent customer service skills.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A completed Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
  • Resume that shows steady progression in HR Management for the last 5+ years
  • Prior experience leading, coaching and mentoring direct reports
  • Prior experience supporting hourly employees and a bilingual workforce

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the landscape or construction field
  • 5+ years in a small to mid-size private company
  • Spanish language skills
